Mukushin Ryu Bujutsu Training in Kissimmee
Rising Sun Dojo is honored to be the only Shibu Dojo outside Japan offering authentic Mukushin Ryu Bujutsu training. Campbell Sensei has been a direct student of Ohashi Kenshin, the 15th-generation Headmaster of Mukushin Ryu, from 2001 until his passing in 2023. This close lineage allows students to experience traditional teachings passed down through centuries of samurai practice.
Training focuses primarily on Iai-jutsu and Ken-jutsu, beginning with kihon (fundamental techniques) and structured drills that develop precision, proper sword manipulation, footwork, and smooth body movement. As students progress, kata and kumitachi are introduced to deepen understanding of timing, distancing, and partner-based application.
Once a strong foundation is built, students may begin tameshigiri (test cutting) and explore additional weapons such as hanjō and shuriken.
