Rising Sun Dojo is a traditional budokan in Kissimmee, Florida offering classes in a variety of traditional Japanese martial art styles. The arts of Shotokan Karate, Okinawan Kobudo, Aikido, and Iai-Jutsu, all under the roof of one dojo to provide the very best of traditional martial arts training and to teach the principles of budo. In addition to our regular scheduled classes, Rising Sun Dojo also regularly holds seminars and hosts guest instructors from around the US and Japan.

Rising Sun Dojo has maintained “A Tradition of Excellence” since it was founded in 2007, and maintains the the highest standards not only in the level of instruction and the principals of budo, but also of it’s students.

Rising Sun Dojo is just minutes from downtown Orlando via Hwy 436, I-4, or the Florida Turnpike. Our location on Hwy 192 is also minutes from the Disney area, making our dojo an ideal place to stop in and visit for those on vacation in the Central Florida area. Rising Sun dojo welcomes all visitors, regardless of rank or affiliation, to train at our dojo.

Mukushin Ryu Bujutsu

A Martial Art Tradition dating back to 15th Century Feudal Japan, Mukushin Ryu Bujutsu encompasses all aspect of a Samurai's training. Classes focus primarily on Iai Jutsu & Kenjutsu (way of the Japanese Sword).

Okinawan Kobudo

Kobudo is an ancient art from the Islands of Okinawa, where commoners learned to use their farming and fishing tools into effective weapons. Training in Kobudo includes the Bo (staff), Sai, Kama (sicle), Tongfa, Nanchacku etc.
